Game Awards 2015

The Game Awards 2015, the gaming world’s equivalent to the Oscars or Emmys, have just ended, and now we can bring you a full list of all of the winners in each categoy. The biggest winners were the Polish studio CD PROKEKT RED with the fantastic The Witcher 3, who walked out with three prizes under their belt including the Game of the Year award. There was also a very sweet tribute to gaming icon Satoru Iwata from Nintendo, who sadly passed away this year. On a more combative tone, though, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won the award to best action/adventure title, but the presenters made it very clear that they would have liked to give the award to Hideo Kojima himself, even though Konami’s lawyers wouldn’t allow it. What’s more, when introducing the best performance award, the presenter said very clearly: “how could you imagine Snake without the voice… of David Hayter”. It seemed a terrible night for Konami, even though they walked away with two awards. There were also more surprises: Her Story got two awards (best narrative and best performance), while Fallout 4 didn’t get any awards at all. Ouch.
