Motiga Releasing New Gigantic Beta for Xbox One in Early 2016

There have been a lot of rumors regarding Gigantic, a free-to-play online team-based third-person shooter video game developed by Motiga. As of now, it’ll be released in 2016, with a new beta version for the Xbox One (and the PC) coming out early next year.

Motiga has been doing some company cutbacks, all on the publishing team, which made people wonder if the game was going to come out at all. But a blog post on the studio’s website confirmed things are moving forward with the ambitious project.Motiga Gigantic

With the release of the next beta version within the next few months, he first beta version of the game will turn into a universal Windows application. It’ll be possible to sign into the game on Xbox One and Windows 10 on the PC and play with friends on either platform.

In Gigantic, teams of five players unite along with a magical behemoth known as a Guardian with the ultimate goal to destroy the opposing team and their guardian. There are a wide variety of playable Heroes for players to choose from, all with a wide variety of abilities.

Motiga had more to add regarding the game, and their plans in 2016, including improved matchmaking algorithms in order to make more balanced teams, changes to the way power is generated for Guardians in order to make matches more competitive, more maps, characters and heroes and numerous gameplay adjustments to improve critiques on playability.

But in the blog post, Motiga also mention there’s a lot of polish and work to be done before the final version of the game is out and complete, which will make it less than surprising if the game only comes out in 2017, with some more updated beta versions coming out along the way.
